Trip to National Park

This was a quite trip to the national park situated in South of Bangalore on the Bannerghatta road. The national park is home to many different species of birds and wild animals.

The park is spread over 25000 acres surrounded by hills. The park hosts 4 major safaris
1. Tiger Safari
2. Lion Safari
3. Deer Safari
4. Beer Safari.

The park boasts to have 37 tigers including white tigers. This is a huge number if the total tiger count in country is looked at. Also the tigers can be seen here playing very cheerfully :)

Some 30 Beer's  also have there habitat here in the national park.

The park also have a Butterfly themed park. This is a separate enclosure where different  species of butterfly can be found. The ideal time to visit this theme park will be before 15:00 PM. The park also has a audio visual treat which gives info about the butterfly species.

Lions are also a major attraction here at the park. There is a Safari dedicated to see this magnificent animal close up. The beauty of this animal is just breathtaking.

Rest of the animal were in Zoo. Below are few snaps from the zoo.....

The trip was simply awesome. To See these animals from such a close proximity is awesome.

Only thing i hated was the smell. I have noticied this in India in Zoo's i have been, the authorities don't keep the zoo's clean as they are suppose to be. Foul smell always is there when you visit a zoo. :(

Tuesdays the Park is closed for weekly maintenance.
Number of buses from Bangalore converge to the Zoo with good frequency.
timings for the safari is till 16:30PM. Last safari takes off at this time.

200Rs for Camera and 150Rs for adult entry.
